Adding 4 days, Wednesday- Saturday with 3 main instructors Adam Parson, Matthew Donnell, and Ryan “BOSCO” Baker. These extra days will be technique-driven and focused with the following week more choreography-focused focused. This is an addition to the following "partial" week ( Sunday as a rest day).
Times are approximately a 9:30-5:00p; Saturday 10-3:00p for May 28th-31st then follows partial schedule

Mini: Pre-Pro Levels 1-2

MINI Intensive with Professional Guests: Adam Parson, Ryan "BOSCO" Baker, and Matthew Donnell. Ages 6-9 years *** Wednesday- Saturday are Mid-Morning classes, 11a-1:45p (tentatively) with an informal showcase on Saturday, May 31st at the studio at 4:00p.
Pre- Register by March 15th and SAVE! Complete form with a $200 ($150 for mini intensive) non-refundable deposit by March 15th to save $75 ($50 for mini intensive).
FOR FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE DANCER, PLEASE COMPLETE A SEPARATE FORM PER STUDENT.
*The student showcase is up in the air this year at this point. Robinson is looking to be remodeled and not sure if we can afford Asteria rates. Looking into other options as well but no guarantee on this this year.
Meet the Guest Artists:

Matthew C. Donnell:
Matthew C. Donnell (he/his) is a native of Mt. Airy, North Carolina. He received his formal training from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) and the Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet. He spent his ballet career with the Kansas City Ballet, where he performed soloist and principal roles by many of the great ballet and contemporary choreographers, including Petipa, Balanchine, Robbins, Cunningham, and Tharp. He has instructed, choreographed, set repertoire, and rehearsed professional ballet companies and schools across the country including CPYB, UNCSA, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, The University of Alabama, Kansas City Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, Alabama Dance Theatre, Littleton Ballet Academy, Ballet Conservatory of Asheville, Dance Conservatory Charleston, The Movement Ballet, Dance West Virginia, Greensboro Ballet, and Dance Teacher Web Live. He is a Teaching Artist with North Carolina Arts in Action, an affiliate of the National Dance Institute. He has served as the Director of the UNCSA Preparatory Dance Program, faculty of CPYB, as a board member for the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), the union that represents ballet and opera performers, and as a board member for The Arts Based School in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to dance, he enjoys teaching physical theater/comedy to dancers, actors, and anyone willing to learn. Donnell is also an actor, singer, filmmaker, physical theater artist (clown), husband, and father. His theater credits include Kansas City Starlight Theatre, Kansas City New Theatre, Houston Theatre Under the Stars, and the New York Musical Festival. With partner Alana Niehoff, he wrote, produced, and performed in his one-man clown/physical comedy show The Chapeau Show in NYC, benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. His short film series, The Adventures of Jim has been screened in film festivals on the East and West Coasts. He is the author of the illustrated children’s book The Boy with the Patch, The Nutcracker Chronicles. He has received teacher training in the CPYB syllabus, Classical Character Dance training and certification with Inna Stabrova, and is an ABT® Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Ryan “BOSCO” Baker:
Bosco is a dancer, instructor and choreographer with over 15 years of experience in the performance industry. His performance credits include So You Think You Can Dance, Missy Elliot, American Idol, Play Station, The Voice, You Got Served, Pink, Shake It Up, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, and the MTV Movie Awards. With Bosco Dance Tour, he has had the privilege of teaching at over 170 wonderful schools and studios and is continually updating and creating new items for BDT Clothing, and loves showcasing his photo & video skills through Look Fly Productions. History.

Kate Mina:
Kate is a Colorado native who began teaching in 2008, and has teaching and choreography experience in a variety of genres including tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, poms and musical theater. She grew up in Colorado Springs where she danced at Robin's Danceworks under the direction of Robin Moore, performing and competing for 11 years both regionally and nationally. Her teaching career began at her home studio where she instantly fell in love with instructing and choreographing. Kate graduated in 2013 Summa Cum Laude from Rider University in New Jersey with a degree in Sociology, where she also studied dance under the direction of Dr. Kim Vaccaro and the faculty of the Princeton Ballet School and the American Repertory Ballet. Kate served as the President of the Rider Dance Ensemble, an opportunity that allowed her to direct multiple dance productions and choreograph pieces in various styles for shows and events. She has taught at workshops and intensives in Colorado and New Jersey. She earned her Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Denver in 2015 and worked as a full-time School Social Worker for four years. Her choreography across many styles has received awards at a number of competitions over the years and earned her an invitation to the Dance Teacher Summit. Kate has been a Co-Director of Roots Studios in Aurora since its founding in 2019, and she loves nothing more than sharing her passion for dance with her students through the years.

Amy Gard:
Amy is a proud (almost) native of Colorado who has had the pleasure of teaching and choreographing across the state since 2006. She is the owner and founder of Roots Studios in Aurora and is thrilled to get back to her own roots, sharing her passion for dance in her hometown of Grand Junction! She attended Mesa State College as both a Dance and Mass Communications major under the instruction of Melonie Buchanan Murray and Matthew Lindstrom, and had the wonderful opportunity to work with artists such as the beloved Adam Parson during her time there. Amy relocated to Denver in 2010, where she has had a variety of dance opportunities, including directing programs at multiple studios, performing in contemporary companies, coaching a college dance team, and choreographing musicals for area high schools before opening her own studio in 2019.

Adam Parson:
Adam Parson is well known for his multifaceted, award-winning choreography, and his unique approach to music makes him a sought-after choreographer in the dance industry. He has danced for stage, film, TV, and industrials such as Fila, NBC, Redken, Power Rangers(Blue Ranger), Prince, Monica, Pepsi, Shell Oil, and performed as the principal dancer in the Ballet "Rodeo" at the White House for President Bill Clinton. The LA Times critics have said his choreography is "refreshingly original and various in his scope and theme," and Dance Magazine named him "One to watch". He has choreographed projects such as So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Redken Hair industrials, and created duets for the Prima Ballerina of Seoul National Ballet and the Prima Ballerina of Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. He is the founder and artistic director of Commonality, his dance company that has toured the United States, Mexico, South Korea, and Europe. He is currently in the process of producing one of his scripts, which will feature choreography by Terri Best
